Vantoro is a one-person web design business in Port Macquarie, NSW. This page explains what happens to your details when you use this site. It's written to be read, not to hide anything.
What I collect
Only what you type into the preview form:
- Your business name, what you do and your town
- Your name and email address
- Your current website or Facebook page, if you give one
- Anything you write in the free-text box
Why I collect it
To build your website preview and to email you the link. That's it. I don't buy, sell or swap contact details, and I don't add you to a mailing list.
If you don't reply, I may follow up once. If you tell me you're not interested, that's the end of it.
Where it goes
Form submissions are handled by Formspree, which passes them to my email inbox. Formspree is based in the United States, so your form details leave Australia when you submit them.
Your email then sits in my Gmail inbox, provided by Google. Nobody else at Vantoro reads it, because there is nobody else at Vantoro.
I also use AI tools, currently Claude from Anthropic, to help build your preview. The details about your business go into them: its name, what you do, your town, your current site and anything you write in the free-text box. Your own name and email address don't, because the preview doesn't need them. Anthropic is based in the United States.
This site's own pages load everything from this site, fonts included. The example sites on the Work page load their fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address if you open one. There are no advertising trackers anywhere on this site.
How long I keep it
If we don't end up working together, I delete your enquiry within 12 months.
If you become a client, I keep what I need to run your website and meet Australian record-keeping requirements.
Getting a copy, or getting it deleted
Email me and ask. I'll send you everything I hold about you, or delete it, within a reasonable time and at no cost.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, tell me first and I'll try to fix it. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
